Is the Sewage treatment system the ultimate solution?

We often get asked by customers as to what are the perks of installing a package sewage treatment plant especially when it is going to a soakaway. Installing a Treatment vessel as opposed to a Septic tank is often the more costly alternative however there are a number of reasons why it is beneficial to have the system installed.
For one site near Penrith we recommended that a package sewage treatment plant was installed discharging to a drainage field located in the adjacent Garden area providing it was determined to be suitable after the necessary percolation tests were carried out.
After the porosity value was confirmed as suitable in the adjacent field and once levels were taken it was determined that gravity flow would not be an option therefore the best solution would be to install a package sewage treatment plant with an integrated pump system. The system that best suited the ground conditions and requirements was a Klargester BB BioDisc IPS Package sewage treatment plant.
As with quite a few of the domestic installation there were some extra works that were required to be carried out prior, during and after our works. Initially there was a section of a hedge which was required to be removed to allow access for our machinery during the works, we recommended this was carried out by a suitable third party as if we were to remove them we could not guarantee the condition they would be in and whether they would be able to be successfully replanted.
During the installation of the new sewage treatment plant we needed to break into the inlet drainage which at the time of the installation we assumed ran underneath a patio, this would need to be lifted and reinstated by others.
Prior to the installation of the new sewage treatment plant all of the surface water was running through one drainage run, we opted to separate this during the installation and divert the surface water to a separate yet smaller drainage field.
Installing a Sewage treatment plant at this property proved to be the preferable option as any alternative would have either been more costly or could have eventually proved ineffective as a long term solution.
The Klargester BioDisc often rivals the Klargester Bioficient and the Conder ASP sewage treatment plants as a preference as although they tend to be more expensive than their competitors the effluent quality and lower running costs are the highlight of the BioDisc – spend more money now and save more in the long run!
