Feeling Autumnal with a BA-x BioDisc
We are now in the middle of the autumn months and as the weather has begun to turn, we have started to encounter more complications in relation to the weather. Granted this is not a major issue but it can cause certain delays especially when we begin to come across a higher than usual water table.
It doesn’t take long when carrying out an installation to identify that a hydraulic pump is required to lower the levels within the excavation as soon as the excavator hits the water table you will start to see evidence that this will become an issue.
The Klargester BA-x BioDisc
We initially provided a quotation for the supply and installation of a suitable package sewage treatment plant with an option for a smaller unit to serve 1 no. 3 bedroom property and alternatively a system to serve the 2 no. 3 bedroom properties.
We recommended a BioDisc to suit this application as the system as a cost-effective long-term solution for this project, the BA-x BioDisc package sewage treatment is not only an industry leader for operational efficiency but also promotes a near silent operation, lower power consumption than the industry alternative with a shiny extended warranty of 7 years available if the conditions are met!
Unstable ground conditions
As soon as excavation works started on site, we identified the need to not only use a hydraulic pump but also ground stabilisation equipment (shoring), this is not only a safety measure for our site team but also allows for the installation to be done efficiently and correctly.
With a high-water table present a correct concrete surround was vital, this not only reduces the impact of ground pressure once the unit has been installed but using the correct mix and the right amount of water to ballast the unit can ensure the system is sited in the correct position and level.
Installation complications
No matter what situation we come across on site we always try to achieve a cost effective and sustainable solution. This may require slight amendments to the proposed scope of works and variations to the duration expected on site, but our aim is always complete the works in an economic and timely manner.
