RA Dalton Ltd are the Klargester number one accredited installer covering the whole of the UK.
Boggy Ground and the Klargester BioTec 2
Weather… It is something we Brits just love to complain about and often a topic of conversation, we are never happy and sometimes there is a reason for this!
For one poor customer the weather had not been kind for the scheduling on their new Sewage treatment plant installation, originally planned for late last year but when the heavens opened they certainly poured. Working on a slight incline and with ground prone to chewing up the installation was then postponed to when we could install with minimal risk and disruption.
Fast forward to June 2020 and we were all kitted up and ready to go!
The Klargester BioTec 2 sewage treatment plant.
When we initially attended this site towards the end of summer last year, the customer was unsure if their septic tank was going to be compliant with the new 2020 regulations. Upon arrival on site the discharge to the beck was identified by our contracts manager Ian Murray meaning this would not comply with the General binding rules.
We therefore recommended that the septic tank was replaced with a package sewage treatment plant with a direct outfall to the stream, we proposed to install the Klargester BioTec 2 treatment system on the line of the existing inlet and outlet drainage to limit expenditure and disruption to the area. A number of reasons including the inlet depth (1.5m) meant that the BioTec was the best solution for this installation.
2020 General Binding Rules.
Even after the glorious weather we had in May/ June the ground conditions still weren’t the best and extra caution was taken by our experienced installation team. Not only did we have to take extra care and attention with the mud but also the access had become a lot tighter as the conifers alongside the access had grown considerably since our first visit.
For this we utilised a variety of smaller vehicle to speed up the installation process, this included the use of minimix concrete, a unimog tank and the use of our pickup for delivery of the tank. Without these vehicles at our disposal we would have encountered a number of issues that could have been at detriment to the entire job.
Happy Customers = Happy team.
Upon completion of the works we were happy to receive glowing feedback from the customer and believe this speaks for itself:
“We have had excellent service throughout our contract with R A Dalton – from the initial advice and site survey (Ian) to the installation team.
The installation team in particular were fantastic, tidy, helpful and efficient and always keen to take care of my plants, and advise especially as access is awkward.
And the office team are great too. Thanks everyone!”
