RA Dalton is pleased to welcome Ben Trotter as our new Operations Manager. Joining us on November 11, 2024, Ben brings extensive industry expertise and a passion for continuous improvement. His role will be instrumental in refining our operations, driving efficiency, and ensuring sustainable growth in the clean and wastewater treatment industry.

Industry Experience

Born and raised in North Yorkshire, Ben has spent the last 19 years living and working in and around Aberdeen. His extensive career includes over six years at a private water company, where he was responsible for setting up and maintaining private water supplies for a diverse client base, including domestic and agricultural customers, as well as large land agents and country estates. Additionally, he brings over 13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specialising in hydraulic technical sales and support. His background in water treatment solutions, including clean water management and treatment processes, positions him well to analyse and enhance our operational procedures.

Why RA Dalton?

When asked what attracted him to RA Dalton, Ben emphasised his passion for continuous workplace improvement and the opportunity to support his colleagues. He expressed his appreciation for the opportunity provided by RA Dalton’s leadership, allowing him to dedicate his expertise entirely to operational enhancements. He was also drawn to RA Dalton’s forward-thinking approach, recognising the company’s recent growth and progress in the clean and wastewater treatment sector as an exciting trajectory he is eager to be part of.

A Collaborative Approach to Operational Excellence

In his role, Ben will work closely with directors and departmental managers to assess and optimise business processes. His primary focus will be on fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that RA Dalton continues to grow while maintaining a strong, employee-centric work environment. His expertise in water treatment technologies and infrastructure will play a crucial role in advancing the company’s commitment to sustainable and efficient solutions.

Looking to the Future

Since joining RA Dalton, Ben has found the experience to be overwhelmingly positive, crediting the warm welcome and support from colleagues. Looking forward, he is excited to work alongside the team to develop meaningful and effective systems that will contribute to both employee and company growth, particularly in the fields of wastewater management and clean water treatment.
