Timed to perfection – BioAir Installation
When working on some domestic properties we understand that we will be working in restricted spaces, this can mean that the proposed scope of work may need to be adjusted to handle the limited working area.
This can impact on a number of things when carrying out the work, including the selection of the system, the size of machinery used to carry out the install and also how to deal with the spoil on site. A recent job we undertook near Driffield was a perfect example of why co-ordination is vital.
The Klargester BioAir 2
During the initial quotation phase, we offered the customer the choice between a Klargester BA BioDisc and a Klargester BioAir 2 Premium. Whilst both systems boast their benefits, the pros and cons of each unit were outlined to allow the customer to select their preferred unit.
Based on the minimal visual impact and overall preference for the system the customer selected to install the BioAir 2 package sewage treatment plant. The lid for the BioAir system is low profile which only leaves the remote blower housing being on display.
The installation processes
During the installation process it was vital to ensure that all deliveries were co-ordinated as these needed to be stored in the customer’s driveway. This meant that storage space was limited and instead of spoil being removed by grab wagons (usually cheaper with higher quantities of material) we needed to use skips to remove excess materials.
This meant that all spoil needed to be removed before concrete could be delivered as the concrete would need to be delivered to the spot where the skip was located, this changed around the scope as all excavation work needed to be done before the tank could be installed.
